NASAPP is a sophisticated but easy to use and interpret tool developed by the EURECAT Technology Centre of Catalonia, based in Catalonia, Spain.
The NASAPP application is free of charge and has been developed so that anyone can be informed about air quality with data from the nearest automatic remote stations that collect basic information for atmospheric monitoring (gas and particle levels).
NASAPP users can also report odour episodes anywhere and anytime. These odour observations create a dynamic map of odour pollution areas, with useful information for public administrations, chemical industries, ports and all kinds of activities in order to find joint solutions that can help mitigate odour pollution.
NASAPP provides structured, form-based data collection from individual citizen reports in real time. Each record includes meteorological data for the study area. In addition, these records are the point of origin for statistical studies, air dispersion modelling and back-trajectory modelling towards the source or origin of the odour.
